This time efforts are being made to ensure participation of more and more countries. This time a special blending cultural program will also be organized. A mixture of Indian and foreign culture will be presented in it. He said that like every year, the International Dance Festival is the main attraction of this event In which along with folk dances of Himachal Pradesh, culture of different countries will also be displayed.

The Chief Parliamentary Secretary addressed the '30 Days to Go' inauguration ceremony at Himachal Sadan in New Delhi late on Friday evening. It showed a glimpse of the historical tradition of Kullu Dussehra that has been going on since the 17th century. He said that about 365 local gods and goddesses reside in Kullu, hence this land is known as Devbhoomi He said that so far invitations have been sent to 332 local deities for this year's event. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given instructions to organize this event on a large scale.

He said the seven-day event would be celebrated as per the tradition of the past years, although the commercial trade fairs would continue till the festival of Diwali this includes auto fair exhibition and stalls put up by the Ministry of rural Developments Ministry of Textiles and various other organizations. Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that the main objective of this program is to educate people about Kullu Dussehra To create awareness on a wide scale. He said that this event attracts a large number of tourists where they can also buy exquisite items like handicrafts, woolen textiles etc.

Thakur said that Rath Yatra, cultural parade, Kullu carnival, Lalhari, sports activities, art center display and trade fair would be the main attractions of the seven-day event. On this occasion he also released the International Kullu Dussehra Brochure. Principal Residential Commissioner SK Singla gave detailed information about the event. On this occasion, Chief Forest Conservator Neeraj Chadda, Deputy Commissioner Kullu, Assistant Commissioner Shashi Pal Negi were also present.
